I just learned of this today. SewCalGal is doing a year of red and white quilts with contests and prizes. All the info is here. And for the next week you can see red and white quilts made prior to 2014.
For all of you who want to make a red and white quilt, this could be YOUR year!

What an amazing quilt. All of those blocks are pieced absolutely perfectly and it makes such a wonderful overall design. Perfect in red and white fabrics too! Thank you for sharing.

Goodness, there's a lot of work in that, it must have taken a very long time to make this quilt.
